At the gateway to the Alps: culture, nature, and royal views

Where Bavaria reveals its soul: nestled between crystal-clear lakes and the majestic peaks of the Alps lies Füssen, Bavaria’s highest town – just a stone’s throw away from the famous Neuschwanstein Castle. Three legendary holiday routes converge here – the Romantic Road, the German Alpine Road, and the Via Claudia Augusta – making it the perfect starting point for history, enjoyment, and nature experiences. In the old town, colorful facades, narrow streets, and magnificent buildings tell the more than 2,000-year-old history of Füssen – between art and royal dreams. The baroque St. Mang’s Abbey and the High Castle tower above the turquoise-blue Lech River – a romantic ensemble that impressively crowns the magic of Füssen.
