Historic old town of Füssen

Historic old town centre Late gothic streets and squares (Schrannenplatz, – where corn was stored and sold and Brotmarkt – the bread market), Kornhaus (corn exchange), remains of the medieval town walls with defensive towers and battlements near the St. Sebastian Cemetery (Sebastiansfriedhof), the Hospital Church of the Holy Ghost (Heilig-Geist-Spitalkirche) with its rococo frescos, St. Nicholas ‘Krippkirche’ (Church of Cribs) with its high altar by Dominikus Zimmermann – and several other baroque churches.
