In addition to folklore sections and permanent exhibitions, you can see paintings by the famous North German painter Otto Modersohn (1865-1943) and his painter friends. Spitz Tower The “Spitz Tower” (height 36.5 m) was built in the 13th century as a watch and guard tower. It also served as a prison for “drunkards” and “quarrelsome women”. Today, spectacular guided tours take place inside. Kittsteintor The view of the collegiate church and castle from the Kittsteintor is one of the most famous views of the city. All the flood marks since 1595 are engraved on the north side.
