Monastery Rottenbuch

Former Augustinian monastery: founded by Duke Welf I in 1073. The ‘Fohlenhof’, the gate building and brewery wing (now the medical teaching institute of the Regens-Wagner Foundation), ‘Schloss’ (former monastery pharmacy and now the educational building and home for the elderly of the Sisters of Don Bosco) and, above all, the monastery survived the destruction of secularisation, Copyright Steingaden
